ABOUT ME

My name is Deniz Demirkurt, and I’m a Turkish-American composer/lyricist, singer, actor, and vocal arranger.

I’ve graduated from Berklee College of Music with a BM in Songwriting, and NYU Tisch with a MFA in Musical Theater Writing.

Some of my previous works of musical theater include "Miroir", "La Voisin", "Dogheaven", and "It Takes a Village" - you can listen to demos from the shows on my website under the tab "Musical Theatre".

I'm also a CRLA (College Reading & Learning Association) certified tutor, and offer lessons in subjects such as music theory (jazz and classical), ear training, songwriting, and arranging.

When I'm not working, I love watching animated movies, and playing video games! That's why I started a youtube channel where I cover songs from my favourite soundtracks - be it video games, cartoons, anime, or musical theater!
